REMI LECLERC
Artistic director / Compositor / Body percussionnist / Vocalist / Pianist / Founder of Humanophones
Passionate pianist, trained and graduated by the Royal School of England of classical Music, jazz and improvised music.
Also formed in acoustic scientific studies at University of Toulouse and Université of Le Mans.
He was a disciple of Leon Parker an iconic 90s drummer & percussionist of New-York.
Rémi introspectively sought his personal approach to body music establishing bridges between the dancing body and the musician body.
On his return from New York, he creates with Tioneb (Human beat boxer/ Loop Station World Championship winner ) an atypical and innovative «Human Player» duo sharing the poster with the The Procussions, Guem, DJ Vadim, Young Blood Brass Band…
As a pianist, he played with Abdu Salim, saxophonist hard boper from Texas,
during 6 years in Gospel band, as well as around vintage electroacoustic keyboards (Fender Rhodes, clavinet, analog synthetisor) in Hancock in stock, (tribute to Herbie Hancock) and Stabat Akish, jazz progressive sextet (original compositions inspired by Mr Bungle, Frank Zappa / signed by Tzadik N.Y. music label of John Zorn )
He trained and continues to learn by taking courses and individual lessons in mime, singing, clowning, and dancing.
In 2013, he founded the Cie des Humanophones with the idea of exploring a new musical language by integrating the body, the art of voice, dance and acting.
“My desire was to create a family to cultivate practices around the music with body that could celebrate the groove around stories that will make us aware of the human condition” Rémi
He brings together vocalist singers and body percussionists from all walks of life for whom he composes, and which he directs in CORPUS (more than 400 performances in France and Europe).
CORPUS questiones the distance that contemporary human creates with his own body.
The following creations after CORPUS were carried out in collaboration with each member of the first team.
